Democrats wondering “Where is Obama?”
As mentioned earlier this week, Obama is ducking and dodging, deferring to the Bush administration to handle the economic “crisis”.
Now, Democrats are beginning to get antsy, wondering why their great leader isn’t, well, leading.
“He’s going to have to be more assertive than he’s been,” Rep. Barney Frank said.
“The Obama team has to step up,” Sen. Christopher Dodd said.
Obama has said it’s “premature” to talk about the auto company bailouts and wouldn’t indicate how he would spend the second half of the $700 billion bailout, all the while hiding behind his “one president at a time” clause.
In reality, Obama likely has no flippin’ clue what he’s doing or how, specifically, to be more involved. Could it be…Obama is not ready to lead? For a president-elect who has inspired calls for instant inaugurations following elections, Obama sure isn’t taking advantage of the sentiment. This failure to launch may continue weeks or months into his administration.
