How to solve a murder? Higher taxes.
A St. Louis Alderman has urged residents of his city to arm themselves given a spike in homicides this year. Naturally, anti-gun morons elsewhere in city government are coming out against his advice, and saying some pretty stupid things in the process.
St. Louis police chief Dan Isom responded by saying guns are not the “recipe for a less violent community.” Yeah, and apparently relying on police to provide a less violent community isn’t a good recipe either, as the city has seen a 26% increase so far this year in homicides.
Meanwhile, St. Louis mayor Francis Slay said the Alderman should instead be urging residents to “cooperate with investigating police officers, lending support for activities for children, and lobbying legislators to increase funding for jobs training and economic development,” according to the story.
Yes, if people would just pay higher taxes for “jobs training,” all crime would go away.
